Duck Mountain Provincial Park and the Riding Mountain National Park provide an abundance of 4-season activities. Each of the communities has quality family housing for all ages. Since 1986, part of the region has been recognized as one of 12 biosphere reserves in Canada which means the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve has preserved a native biodiversity and natural ecosystem.
